My latest zine project draws inspiration from the 1995 film 'KIDS' by Larry Clark. It serves as a cautionary tale about toxic masculinity and the destructive consequences of patriarchal norms. The project was sparked by the tragic passing of one of the film's main actors, Justin Pierce, prompting me to explore the loneliness and isolation perpetuated by gender stereotypes.

Each page showcases different artistic styles and stories, with most of the zine crafted by hand, featuring sewn binding and designs created on transparent paper, later digitized for production. This zine highlights the perilous path that adhering to traditional male standards can lead to, emphasizing the need to challenge harmful gender norms and foster empathy and equity.
